Our Design And Build Process

The garden design and build process begins with an initial (informal) consultation. Danny will visit your garden and discuss how you would like to use your garden, what you would like it to look like and how much you wish to spend on the landscaping process. He will take measurements and assess whether there are any potential challenges with drainage, slopes, planning permissions etc and then use all of the information he has gathered to create a concept design for your new layout.
 
When you are happy with the new layout, Danny will help you to select materials such as pavers, decking boards, pergola, fencing and/or kitchen equipment and from there he can build a quote for landscaping works.
 
With a price agreed, you will then be offered a date for work to begin.

What To Expect From The Landscaping Process

Landscaping a garden can create dust, mud and noise. But when you hire Precision Paving and Landscaping to carry out the works, you can rest assured that the team will do everything they can to minimise any disturbance to yourself and your neighbours.
 
Danny and the team comply strictly with CDM (2015) Regulations which are designed to keep everybody safe on site. They keep a tidy site, clearing up after themselves at the end of every day.  Any deep footings or other potential hazards will be highlighted to you and made safe before the landscapers leave site.
 
There may be times when the landscapers cannot work, for example in extreme weather conditions or when they are waiting for materials to settle before the next phase of building can start. Don’t panic though, you will be kept informed at every stage of the build and you’ll always know exactly what is going on.
 
There’s something rather satisfying about watching your dream garden emerge from the mud. And at the end of the process you will have an outdoor space that truly complements your lifestyle and reflects your personality.

Garden Design And Build FAQ’s

Do I need to be at home while the landscapers are working?
 
Of course not! The Precision Paving and Landscapes team is very independent and provided they have access to electricity and an outdoor tap are happy to keep working while you are off-site.
 
How long does landscaping take?
 
The time scale for any garden design and build project depends on the size of the garden and the complexity of the design. You will be given an estimated time span before work begins. Precision Paving and Landscaping always aim to finish a job on budget and on time. However we may need to ask you to be patient should there be problems with late deliveries or unexpected weather conditions.
 

Will the landscapers need to come into my home?

The landscapers should have no reason to come into your home during the design and build process. At the initial consultation Danny will ascertain whether there is water and electricity in your garden, he’ll also ask how you feel about team members using your facilities. If you will not be home during working hours, or if you are unhappy about workmen coming inside, we are happy to hire portaloos etc for staff welfare.
 
If, at any time you have any questions about the design and build process, Danny and the team are always happy to address your concerns. It’s important to us that your garden makeover is as stress-free and enjoyable for you as it possibly could be.
